The ability to speak another language is very important for the education of successful people in a global economy. In Miami, a cosmopolitan city where the Spanish community represents the largest population, speaking Spanish is a necessary instrument. Being bilingual is a valued attribute in a highly competitive labor market. We at Coconut Grove Elementary School would like to provide our students with a challenging Spanish Program.
Our school feels very proud to have the Spanish Language incorporated into the academic curriculum. We offer our World Language Program in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade for one hour daily which includes reading and language arts, developing the skills students need for an effective cognitive process.
